The following CPD materials have been assessed and approved by the RIBA.
The purpose of this CPD presentation is to highlight the issues that are currently associated with conventional drywall transitioning methods – such as the use of aluminium shadow gap/ trim beads –and to then emphasise how newly-patented fibrous sections allow architects to move away from the use of such methods of detailing to produce a seamless and more consistent finish.
Seamless Abutments Solutions offers a range of pre-formed, gypsum-based fibrous sections that allow a new-found level of consistency when dealing with all plasterboard endings, junctions and detailing. The standard range of seamless abutment sections caters for skirting, architrave, head detail and external corners, as all the complications of these details are preformed within the sections. Each section is produced with a tapered edge to allow a seamlessly flush finish to plasterboard.
