The following CPD materials fall within the ‘Inclusive environments’ RIBA Core Curriculum topic area.
This interactive seminar discusses the effects of ageing and dementia on hearing, vision and mobility, as well as the key design and acoustic principles when designing for dementia and elderly care. Referencing research, guidance and best practice, the module encourages architects to explore spaces from the perspective of their users, thereby helping to promote the creative design of inclusive spaces.
