Seminar, by MagScapes Ltd
This CPD presentation explores new ways to tap into our very primitive need for expression using wall spaces, including some interesting discoveries in space planning and the novel use of magnets. In short, it offers a new way of expressing creativity and spontaneity – on walls.

MagScapes produces a range of magnetic wall materials to encourage spontaneous, creative expression using magnets and dry-erase pens. Wall spaces are often under-utilised as plain colours or static displays, or support for shelves, hooks etc. Instead, walls can be interactive canvasses that empower and inspire all who pass.

Approximate duration excluding time for questions/answers: one hour.
Seminar, by Serge Ferrari
This CPD seminar looks at the history and progression of the use of composite membranes and technical fabrics as a viable construction material. The evolution of tensile architecture began in 1964 and has now become a credible option to create both a sustainable and cost-effective solution relevant to today’s innovative environment. This presentation aims to inspire the creation of beautiful buildings by referencing some of the world’s most imaginative architecture.

The Serge Ferrari group designs, manufactures and distributes high-technology eco-friendly flexible composite materials. The unique properties of its products provide solutions to technical challenges in three distinct areas: architecture (solar protection, tensile architecture, acoustic solutions), purpose-specific membranes for professionals, and composite membranes for the consumer market.

For the past ten years, Serge Ferrari has been developing an exemplary environmental strategy and has played a leading role in sustainable development, with its recycling plant in Ferrare, Italy, and a European collection network to reduce its environmental footprint.
