RIBA Core Curriculum: Climate

The following CPD materials fall within the ‘Climate – sustainable architecture’ RIBA Core Curriculum topic area.
This CPD presentation covers: roof build-up options and their pros and cons, installation methods, waterproofing, detailing, profile options (bespoke fabrications), roof gardens, solar PV, roof edge protection and liquid applied waterproofing.

ICB promotes the idea of improving the environment by using sustainable products and making sustainable use of roof spaces. This may be achieved through adding a green roof construction to encourage local biodiversity, the installation of roof-mounted solar PV to produce clean renewable energy, or simply by waterproofing and insulating the roof to a high standard.
