While the testing of various mechanical and physical properties using mock-ups has been common practice for some time, their use in fire tests has been the subject of much discussion in the recent years. This CPD seminar explores British test methods using large-scale mock-ups to BS 8414, and will help draw a correlation between small scale reaction to fire material test reports and large scale tests. It also explains when and how large scale tests become vital and how to use them effectively. Finally, it addresses the subject of engineering judgements and standards such as BS 9414, which has been published recently.
