RIBA CPD Showcase

Advisory organisations

The following CPD materials have all been assessed and approved by the RIBA.
Covers the process of timber frame production and construction, from design through production and delivery of the finished product, including quality control, stacking and delivery. Includes design scheduling, production planning, procurement principles, quality management, and waste and recycling. This tour is available at factories across the UK and modules can include the ‘Low Carbon Homes’ and ‘Fire Safety During Construction With Timber Frame’ presentations, which are also RIBA approved.

The Structural Timber Association (STA) represents a wide cross-section of the timber industry, including suppliers, manufacturers, erectors and designers. It is the authoritative voice of the timber construction industry and provides definitive technical information, plus news and views from across the sector. The recent rebrand from the UKTFA came about because of recognition of the growing membership of the association and the products that members offer. The remit of the new body represents not just timber frame, but all users of structural timber products, including CLT, SIPS and Glulam. Through research and auditing, STA members have quality at the heart of their operations and are kept abreast of the latest in technological and regulatory developments.
