There is a large – and increasing – choice of systems available to the specifier. This CPD presentation aims to explore waterproofing, and in particular the use of ‘cavity drain’ and ‘air gap membranes’ in a variety of different situations, from domestic basements and listed buildings to the London Underground.
Delta is recognised as the UK’s market leaders in cavity drain waterproofing systems. Delta Systems can easily deal with aggressive ground water conditions, where basements and below-ground structures are liable to flooding, or indeed where simple dampness, contamination or salting problems are prevalent in above-ground structures. Other, more diverse, applications include turf covered roofs, barn conversions, tunnel linings or even as a barrier against radon gas. Delta systems have been used on some 30 London Underground stations. 70,000 square metres of Delta MS has also been used in the Channel Tunnel.
