Covers the different classifications of glass and tests for measuring non-fragility as defined in the Advisory Committee for Roof Safety’s (ACR) Red Book (ACR[M]001), which references test guidelines for glass rooflights by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT). The seminar also includes: relevant health and safety statistics; guidance on glass classifications, as defined by the CWCT; advice on which standards within the CWCT guidelines apply to rooflight specification; information on different tests used in the classification process, and; fire performance and Building Regulations considerations.

Tiled floors in apartments and flats often transmit unacceptable impact noise levels on the spaces below. This seminar explains when and where tiling an apartment floor is not allowed and suggests solutions to make it permissible. It also discusses the additional benefits and drawbacks of using tile backer boards as a solution.
