The following CPD materials have been assessed and approved by the RIBA.
The main focus of this CPD presentation is the importance of selecting and sizing louvres in accordance with a building’s needs. In addition, the seminar provides guidance on types of louvres and available design options. Testing methods and louvre classifications are also explained.

Construction Specialties is a global manufacturer and supplier of a range of specialist building products, offering comprehensive project support from design to installation. Over 60 years ago the company developed the first extruded architectural louvre, and it has introduced some of the most significant advancements in building ventilation technology since. Other products include impact protection, entrance matting, expansion joint covers, solar shading and explosion venting.

High gloss solid acrylics come in many different colours and can add a unique twist to a variety of applications. The design possibilities are endless, from kitchens, bedroom and bathrooms to commercial interiors or that unique piece of furniture. This seminar provides information on how acrylic is made, how doors are made and fixed, and the material’s features, as well as showcasing examples of how and where it has successfully been used.

Landau Holdings, established in 1983, is a specialist in the manufacture and distribution of bespoke ranges, including brand names Parapan, Brooklands, Natures Choice and V-line. All are made-to-measure fascia and panel solutions for the specialist interiors market, kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom industry, and shopfitting sector.

This CPD seminar aims to inform architects about specifying hardwood internal and external doorsets. It includes detailed information about Passive House doors and how best to specify hardwood and understand its challenges while achieving the best design option.

Urban Front design and make hardwood contemporary front, internal feature and garage doors with steel reinforcement, high security locks, security keys, and pivot or 3D hinges. All of its doors are made in the UK before being exported worldwide.

Urban Front recently launched the E98 Passiv door, which has just achieved Passive House Certification. Its six timbers are European Oak, American Black Walnut, Iroko, Western Red Cedar, Fumed Oak and Wenge, but it is also available as a painted finish in any RAL colour.
