This seminar aims to: provide an understanding of the importance of sunlight/daylight availability and the impacts of shadowing; review associated UK and international building codes/design guides and best practice; describe how green building design is affected by sunlight/daylight, and; contextualise sunlight/daylight within the UK planning process.

This presentation on the recycling and use of sheet and cast lead in general and historic building renovation provides an introduction to both lead recycling and various specialist technical services available when specifying rolled lead sheet conforming to BS EN 12588:2006.
2iM uses best available technology to produce quality British Standard lead from an end-of-life battery. The constituent components of the battery are used to maximum effect. Ninety-six per cent is recycled and returned to various industry sectors for re-use.
