Paints, varnishes, protective treatments

The following CPD materials have all been assessed and approved by the RIBA.
Factory Visit, by Highland Colour Coaters Ltd
Watch steelwork undergoing the hot dip galvanizing process and understand how the coating offers long-life, maintenance-free corrosion protection for steel. Then follow the material through powder coating to understand the importance of the appropriate surface preparation and the aesthetic impact that colour and texture can make. Seeing both processes provides an in-depth knowledge of the benefits and opportunities that the coating can contribute to all projects.

Highland Galvanizers and Colour Coaters has been providing long-life, low-maintenance corrosion protection coatings for steel for over 35 years. At its Cumbernauld plant its speciality is colour on galvanized steel and aluminium. Highland is the only plant in Scotland and the north of England where both galvanizing and powder coating are carried out under one roof and one quality system.
