RIBA CPD Showcase

Permeable paving systems

Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) are the alternative to directly channelling surface water to sewers and water treatment plants. The following CPD materials have all been assessed and approved by the RIBA’s own team of qualified technical experts.
Seminar, by DCM Surfaces
A comprehensive overview of SuDS compliant surfacing solutions and how to select, specify and install the most appropriate surface for pathways and canal towpaths. Topics covered include the difference between bound gravel and rubber gravel mix (and how they’re installed), and techniques to avoid common issues such as UV colour changes, surface crumbling, and surface undulations.

Over its 28 year history, DCM has delivered creative and inspiring outdoor surface solutions for developers, architects, contractors and homeowners throughout the UK. DCM offers a complete surface installation service with fully trained installers, ensuring your playground, sports pitch or decorative gravel surface looks great and complies with British and European standards.
