Seminar, by Marley Ltd
The CPD seminar provides an understanding of how the Building Regulations impact roof design. It highlights structural safety (Approved Document A), prevention of moisture (Approved Document C) and thermal efficiency (Part L) considerations. Specifiers may also learn how roof design is influenced by British Standards such as recent revisions to BS 5534, identifying changes to fixing, mortar bedding and underlays.

Marley Eternit is a leading manufacturer of roofing and façade materials and design solutions. It offers practical, experienced support in many useful ways, from delivering urgent samples to where they are needed, to providing solutions to help specifiers achieve their vision, and from supplying NBS clauses, BIM objects or CAD drawings, to answering questions on any roofing or façade-related issue.

Seminar, by BMI Redland
This presentation covers an often-overlooked aspect of roof tiling and slating: their fixing. Looking at the many factors that can affect the fixing integrity of a roof, from the UK climate to the proximity of other buildings or open spaces, it then considers the design of the building itself.
