Stone

The popularity and variety of stone used in today's designs belie any suggestion that as a traditional material it's 'old hat'. The following CPD seminars cover the specification, properties and conservation of stone and are delivered by some of the country's leading experts in the subject.
Seminar, by Putney & Wood Ltd
This seminar provides a comprehensive overview of the critical elements in the natural stone cladding process, including natural stone geology, sustainability and corporate responsibility, regulations and testing, fixing options, design considerations and the stone contractor's responsibilities. The British Standard was revised earlier this year so this seminar gives architects the ideal opportunity to familiarise themselves with changes in the new regulations.
