Access for all

The following RIBA-approved CPD materials all fall within the ‘Access for all – universal or inclusive design’ RIBA Core Curriculum.
This seminar covers the implications and contribution noise has on educational environments, the Heriot-Watt Research, BB93 and Equalities Act 2010. It also looks at The Bremen University Research and classroom acoustic recommendations and solutions.

Ecophon’s aim in creating this and other approved CPD materials is to provide organisations with information that can be used on a practical basis. The usual format for this CPD seminar is one hour, including lunch and questions.

This seminar fulfils the requirements of two topics within the core curriculum: access for all and designing and building it. It examines the design and use of accessible facilities. Reference is made to the best practice design guide Part M, BS8300:2009, which now includes the provision of changing places facilities, and Building Bulletin 102, which includes recommendations for hygiene rooms in schools.
