Seminar, by Cantifix Ltd
A seminar that has been designed to help the specifier better understand where and how glass may be used to add value to any project. It explains the parameters, restrictions and innovations in this rapidly changing market, and includes many images of exciting finished projects.

Cantifix was founded in 1986 by brothers William and Charlie Sharman. They undertook the world’s first structurally glazed project on a residential property back in 1990. Since then Cantifix has led this exacting market through innovation and a determination to ‘see the possible’. Charlie shares his knowledge and expertise in the CPD and during the Q&A session afterwards.

Seminar, by Brilliant Lighting
This seminar focuses on the role of lighting control in residential lighting design. It explores what homeowners are looking for (and what they find off-putting), and looks beyond the clichés of smartphone control and ‘turning your lights on from the beach’ by examining why lighting control systems are the best way to manage LED-based lighting schemes.

Factory Visit, by Vitsoe Ltd
Born in 1932 in Germany, Dieter Rams is one of the foremost industrial designers of the post-war period. He has worked continuously for Vitsoe since 1959, and is often cited by designers as a key influence on their work and in shaping the 21st century. Visit the Vitsoe showroom and workshop to learn more about Rams’ ten principles for good design and how they apply to his work at Vitsoe.

Vitsoe embodies the inordinate power of good design in everything it does: designing thoughtfully, responsibly and intelligently for the benefit of current and future generations. For more than half a century Vitsoe’s aim has been to produce simple, timeless furniture that encourages people to use and reuse it. This showroom visit will introduce the specifier to some unique furniture designs.
