This CPD seminar demonstrates the design flexibility and modern benefits of PVC-U, and explores the common concerns and issues relating to PVC-U and its use in fenestration. The presentation contests the view that PVC-U products are low quality, and enables specifiers to select PVC-U windows and doors with confidence.

This CPD seminar explains how secondary glazing can be specified to offer greater window security protection against forced entry, physical and ballistic attack, and bomb blasts. It covers the levels of security that can be achieved, the relevant standards, and which products are most suited for use along with their performance capabilities.

This seminar offers guidance to architects on window hardware locking systems. It discusses British and European standards, the cause, effect and prevention of corrosion on hardware, security and safety, and gives advice on the types of window systems and their applications. It also introduces the varying locking systems available and examines security testing procedures. On completion, the architect should be confident in specifying the correct hardware for windows.
