Explores how polyester powder coatings comply with Part B regulations, with particular focus on EN 13501-1 testing. Also includes an in-depth analysis of how competing cladding finishes (powder coatings, anodising and pre-coat aluminium) perform in large scale through-the-wall testing to BS 8414, best practice guidelines for safe cladding, and a debunking of common myths associated with A1 and A2-s1-do classified systems.

An introduction to a unique, malleable zinc alloy originally developed to replace lead flashings on new build and refurbishment projects due to the toxicity and theft issues associated with sheet lead. This new super safe flashing is highly malleable and self-bonding (no hot works or welding permits are required). It is environmentally-friendly, but used in exactly the same way as lead is (i.e. sharing the same tools). It is also 2018 BBA and Exova fire safe certificated. Further developed to include a non-combustible A1 cavity tray to comply with new Building Regulations, the product is already being specified on UK projects.

A practical and inspirational guide to the use of fibre cement as a façade panel. Includes advice on its suitability on projects above 18 metres (in accordance with amendments to Approved Document B), a detailed overview of the components that make up rainscreen cladding systems, and a discussion on the correct materials and fixing methods one should specify.
