Floor finishes

The following CPD materials have all been assessed and approved by the RIBA.
Examines the characteristics of natural and manufactured tiles, before looking at different sealing options (including water-based solutions) and the importance of correctly specifying sealers and maintenance products. Health and safety, cost and warranties, and other practical issues are also covered.

Offers guidance on how to specify entrance matting to achieve maximum performance, avoid tramped-in dirt and grime, protect interior floor finishes and reduce slips and falls. Also covers Building Regulations compliance and other relevant legislation, particularly in respect of disabled access.

Jaymart is an independent family-owned company, established in 1967. It offers a wide range of entrance matting systems for heavy-duty applications such as railway stations, airports, education, offices and shopping centres. Bespoke solutions can be created to meet specific project requirements.

Looks at watertight concrete solutions and the reasons why successful waterproofing is important. Refresh your understanding of the relevant British Standards and guidelines that must be adhered to when building structures below ground, and find out more about the different types of waterproofing products currently available.

BASF Construction Chemicals provides advanced chemicals solutions for new construction and the maintenance, repair and renovation of structures. Its recently re-branded and comprehensive portfolio encompasses concrete admixtures, cement additives, chemical solutions for underground construction, waterproofing systems, membranes, sealants, concrete repair and protection systems, performance grouts and performance flooring systems.

Seminar, by Bona Limited
Examines the practical, environmental and aesthetic factors to take into consideration when specifying treatments for timber floors, with particular emphasis on how correct specification and effective maintenance can limit the need for future renovation and attendant downtime.
